In England, Jamie Gittens has become a winger that London football clubs Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur reportedly wish to sign in the 2025 summer.
Jamie Gittens is an English talent who joined the German side in 2022. And it seems that his move to Dortmund has worked out well for the 21-year-old winger.
Gittens, who is a left-sided winger, has scored seven times in 22 Bundesliga games this season, with four assists.
Even in the UCL, he has added four goals in nine matches this season.
Gittens was on a major club’s radar when he was at Reading’s youth academy from 2013 to 18. Even this made his move to Manchester City’s youth structure in 2018 (till 2020). However, not getting the space in City’s main team led him to join Borussia Dortmund’s academy in 2020 and then make his debut in 2022.
After seeing his rapid growth, Dortmund are asking £85m for Jamie Gittens. Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs have shown interest in Gittens, his huge transfer fee might be accepted and paid to the German side.
Gittens’ current deal with the German side will last until the 2028 summer. This gives them an influential chance to get a better deal from selling the English star.
Gittens is another English rising star who seems to have skills that can pay the bills. However, his price tag would make him a player who has to perform for the club. As of now, it seems to be the biggest ask.
