Ahead of the season-defining clash versus the Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Pat Cummins is impressed with young batsman Aniket Verma.
Aniket has played eight times in the IPL 2025, scoring 171 runs. Cummins is happy with the way Aniket is showing great touch on and off the pitch.
Cummins said on JioHotstar: “He really impressed us in the warm-up matches and in the training. I think just the way he goes out no matter the game situation and tries and hit sixes. And that’s what he’s done. He takes on spin, and it’s just that freedom that he’s brought to his game. He’s only played a few games as of now, but he’s been really impressive. He’s striking beautifully.”
Aniket has gained fame due to his impressive power-hitting. And against CSK, the Sunrisers Hyderabad require an overall better touch to make sure that they can win their third game of the season.
Last year’s finalists are ninth in the IPL table, with just two wins out of eight matches. Losing another match would make sure that there is no way for SRH to make it into the playoffs.
