Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team CEO Toto Wolff feels thrilled ahead of the 2025 Formula 1 season. On Feb 24, Mercedes did show their car for the 2025 season.
Lewis Hamilton, who joined Team Mercedes in 2012, will no longer the part of the mega F1 side in 2025 as he has joined hands with Ferrari.
However, Wolff feels that the 2025 F1 car of Mercedes is a cut above the rest.
Wolff said: “We open an exciting new era in the story of our team and Mercedes-AMG motorsport in 2025.”
It was a dream run for Mercedes from 2014 to 2020, winning seven consecutive seasons in F1. Out of seven, Hamilton won six seasons and Nico Rosberg becaming the champion in 2014.
However, it was Red Bull who made a comeback in 2021 with Max Verstappen, winning the following three seasons ahead (2021 to 2024).
In 2025, Mercedes have picked George Russell and Andrea Kimi Antonelli as their two main drivers.
The opening F1 race of 2025 will take place at Albert Park Circuit, Melbourne on 16 March (Australia).
