French striker Hugo Ekitike is a player Arsenal have picked as an alternative to Alexander Isak, with the Swedish international valued at £150m by Newcastle United, as per Sun.
Ekitike is enjoying a great season at Eintracht Frankfurt. The 22-year-old striker has scored 13 goals in 25 Bundesliga games this season.
He made the move to the German side in 2024 from Paris Saint-Germain.
However before making a move to Dino Tumpeller’s side in 2024 summer, he joined the club on loan in the 2024 winter transfer market until the end of the 2023-24 season.
The 22-year-old striker had played for the France U20 and U21 sides.
Arsenal, who are desperate to win the Premier League title, are finding it hard to get a consistent goalscorer for several seasons.
The Gunners are 12 points behind PL leaders Liverpool, who have earned 70 points in 29 games. There are high chances of Arsenal not being able to become the English champions.
Hence, Mikel Arteta’s are pushing hard for Hugo Ekitike and other names in the number 9 position.
