Marcedes driver Kimi Antonelli makes it clear of not calling him as a replacement for Formula 1 legend Lewis Hamilton.
In 2025, Hamilton is working with Ferrari. It was 2024 when Hamilton drove for Mercedes for the last time. From 2021 to 2024, Marcedes was not able to win even a single season.
But from 2014 to 2020, it was all over Marcedes shows with Hamilton winning them six of seven seasons and Nico Rosberg leading the side to glory in 2016.
New arrival Antonelli feels that he has his mark to make in F1, said in an interview with BCC Sport.
“I don’t feel like his replacement,” Antonelli said.
Antonelli, who is just 18 years old, is being seen as one of the best young prospects in the game.
In 2025, Antonelli is teaming up with George Russell for a massive showdown. As usual, the opening race of the season starts from Australia Albert Park Circuit, Melbourne on March 16.
